My name is Cary Thompson. I have been in intensive care nursing for about 18 years, the majority of this time with the Cardiothoracic/Transplant Unit at the UW. I transitioned to school nursing in 2013, where I now enjoy my role in supporting and educating students and their families to help them manage health and wellness. My history with the Northshore School District is a long one...not only am I a parent with students going to school in the district, I am also an Inglemoor High grad!
As the School Nurse at Timbercrest Middle School, my focus is to help minimize the impact of student health issues on learning and to support students managing health issues in the school setting. My goals are threefold: to help keep our students safe and healthy, to manage health problems as they arise, and to be a health resource for Timbercrest families.
Please keep me informed of any health concerns or changes in your child's health, including new medical or mental health issues, medication changes and immunization updates. Also, be sure that your emergency contact information is up to date and that your contact persons are available.
Feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions you might have.
